About Us

A beautifully decorated table with a luxurious backdrop. — Elks Lodge 5
A beautifully decorated table with a luxurious backdrop.

Elks Lodge 5 on Glenmore Avenue is one of the oldest chartered Elks lodges in the country, and the building backs that up. Guests who've walked through those doors twice say the same thing: spacious, clean, and genuinely welcoming. The recently remodeled interior features fresh paint and new LED lighting that transforms the hall from a daytime meeting room into a full-on event venue by night.

This is a lodge where people know each other. Members grew up together on the West Side, and that familiarity shows in how the place is run. New ownership has brought real energy, investing in upgrades and keeping the calendar full with New Year's parties, banquets, and community gatherings that draw crowds from across Cincinnati's 45211.

With a 4.3-star rating across dozens of reviews, Lodge 5 earns its reputation not through marketing but through repeat visitors. The hall is large enough to host sizable celebrations without feeling impersonal, and the bones of the building, combined with modern finishes, make it one of the more versatile event spaces on the West Side.

What We Offer

The hall at Lodge 5 is built for celebration. Whether you're booking a private banquet, a birthday milestone, a retirement party, or a holiday event, the space scales to fit your crowd. The open floor plan handles both seated dinners and standing receptions, and the lighting setup gives organizers real flexibility in setting the mood.

Beyond private rentals, the lodge hosts its own community events throughout the year, including the annual New Year's Eve party that draws a loyal crowd. Members of the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks also gather here for meetings, charitable programs, and fraternal activities that have been part of Cincinnati's civic fabric for generations.

For those interested in membership, Lodge 5 offers the full range of Elks programs, including youth initiatives, veteran support, and local scholarship opportunities. The lodge is more than a venue; it is an active chapter of one of America's most enduring fraternal organizations.

"Had the pleasure of being here twice. Both times were great as uh whole. Place is awesome and spacious enough for both festivities I attended. Know the owners from growing up.and think they did a wonderful job with the place and maximized the space available. If you need a venue for any reason give them a call."

"I hate to leave bad reviews! I am not speaking about the building. It’s very modern and clean and a great place to throw a party or banquet. We came here for a New Years Party. The DJ was horrendous! He ruined the night because he kept playing auto tube mumble rap while everyone in the place was over 35. After the New Years count down, he didn’t even play that “should all Acquaintance “ song. Nope just more garbage with the “n” word and cursing."

"I’m disappointed. I made a trip to Cincinnati to see a friend. I belong to Elks lodge #2444 in Mission Viejo, ca & took my friend to the cheviot lodge on Friday afternoon to show him what a great place the Elks was. The Cheviot lodge appeared to be deserted at 5pm so decided to come back at 6pm & found the parking lot empty & no one in site. I called the 3phone #s I could find & all were recordings with no information. I think one star is being generous."

The Elks gave America
Flag Day.

Long before it was a national observance, the Order set aside June 14th to honor the flag. Patriotism has always been one of our cardinal principles, and every lodge meeting still closes the same way it has for over a century.
